Simone Biles

Simone Biles (born March 14 1997 Columbus Ohio U.S.) American gymnast who was considered one of the sport's greatest athletes. The 2016 Olympics were held in Rio de Janeiro and Biles became the U.S.'s the first gymnast of female gender ever to earn 4 gold medals. She also claimed the title of world champion for all-around three times consecutively (2013-15). Biles grew up at Spring Texas in the Houston metropolitan area after her and her sister Adria were adopted by their parents Ronald and Nellie Biles. Simone was first introduced to the sport by her teacher at daycare Aimee Borman at just six years old. Biles stayed with Bannon's Gymnastix for 11 years. Biles won a gold medal for vault as well as a gold medal on the floor during the 2010 Women's Junior Olympic National Championships. The year 2011 saw her begin competing in elite levels of competition. In less than two years, she was the most dominant athlete in the field. Biles was distinguished by her consistent performance, exuberant personality as well as the difficulty she encountered in all four events including vaulting, uneven bars and balance beam.
